The second phase of resettling the displaced persons in the Mannar District will begin on May 11, Ministry of Resettlement and Disaster Relief Services said.
According to the Ministry nearly 500 persons belong to 112 families from Mannar District are to be resettled in their own villages following the completion of demining.
Plans have been made to resettle more of the displaced in the Arippu area in Mannar during the second phase, Minister of Resettlement and Disaster Relief Services Risath Bathiyutheen said. Read more ...
