A large consignment of dry rations, biscuits, milk foods, readymade garments, clothing materials and medicine for over 180,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) were dispatched to Vavuniya District and suburban welfare camps.
The Competent Authority, BMICH Distribution Centre, Bandula Ekanayake told the `Sunday Observer' that twenty containers and lorryloads of food items, garments and medicine have been sent to Vavuniya welfare camps.
He said that the distribution centre at BMICH receives a substantial stocks of food items, dry rations, medicine and garments from various organisations and from individuals. Read more ...
