Japan extends additional US$ 1.4 million to humanitarian demining in the north

The Government of Japan has decided to extend additional grant aid totaling US$ 1.4 million (approximately Rs. 160 million) for humanitarian demining activities in Jaffna, Killinochchi and Vavuniya through DDG (Danish Demining Group) and the HALO Trust. In this year, the Government of Japan has already provided a grant aid of US$ 700,000 (approximately Rs.80 million) for humanitarian demining in Mannar through FSD (Swiss Foundation for Mine Action).
