A one-stop information portal for humanitarian activities following the mass exodus of Tamil civilians to government controlled areas in the north of Sri Lanka.
Nearly 300,000 Tamil civilians have been displaced due to the conflict situation that existed in the north of the country and are now housed in camps specially set up by the government of Sri Lanka.
These camps are run by the government with the cooperation of several local and international non-governmental organisations.
The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment has opened a special account at the Head Office Establishment Branch of the Bank of Ceylon to accept donations from Sri Lankans and other well wishers residing overseas.
This Blog has been created to collate news on the humanitarian situation that has developed following the mass exodus of civilians to government controlled areas in the north of Sri Lanka as a one-stop information portal for humanitarian activities.
